Yi Liu
Yi Liu graduated from NYU with an Environmental Studies Degree. While working at AstroCamp in 2025, she taught a summer photography class during which she reclaimed her passion for photography.
A few months later she had her first paid client, and it was clear that she needed to move back to New York.
Upon moving back to NYC, Yi started working at luxury restaurants where she photographed people celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other events. In the meanwhile, she collaborated with painters, authors, musicians, and many more for their personal portrait and event photography.
Yi specializes in personalized portrait and event photography. Each of her photoshoot is unique and tells a story belonging just to that one person. Yi lets her clients guide her and her intuition direct the shoot. Her style is minimalist, and she creates narratives through posing and composition.
